Create Custom Reports in the System

You can create your own reports based on report templates available in the system to share with your clients.

Please click on the link below to log into the ValueLink Connect system: https://app.connectvl.com/#/signin

  1. From the dashboard, click on Reports to open the reports page.

  1. On the report builder page, click the ADD NEW REPORT.

  1. From there, you will need to select a report source for the foundation of the report.

  1. Next, based on the selected report base, you will get to select your specific data fields (e.g., Client ID, Client Name). Just select the ones you would like to have in your report and click on ADD. To remove any, select and click on remove.

  1. In the next few steps, you can customize your report using the following:
  • Change the names of data fields,
  • Sort fields,
  • Group fields,
  • Total fields, and
  • Average fields.

   6. Next is the Filters section, where you can add filters according to your requirements. There are different ways to do so.

  • First, you need to select a field you would like to filter by.

  • From there, select the comparison operator, which will determine how the filter will operate by the search.

The comparison operator has a total of 8 selections which you can choose from:

  1. Equal to
  2. Not Equal to
  3. Like
  4. Not like
  5. Null
  6. Not Null
  7. Includes
  8. Does not include

  • In the filter value section, if you enter any specific value, the filter will only show the details of those values.

  • If you check the Is Runtime Filter, you will be able to specify the value each time you run the report.

If the runtime filter is not selected, then you will have to enter a filter value, but that will only filter the entered value and nothing else.

  • Once done, click on Add to create the filter.

  1. Once you have added all the necessary filters according to your requirements, you can preview the report in the Preview section to check if any changes are required.

  1. If satisfied with the changes and the report view, go to the SAVE section, enter the Report Name, Report Header, and Category. Once done, click on save.
