Engagement instructions contain the client's requirements for completing an order- including report format, comparable guidelines, UAD compliance rules, and any lender-specific requirements. It is important to read these carefully before beginning work on any order.

Before accepting- Normal, Broadcast Orders, and Quote Requests
If you have not yet accepted the order, a dedicated Engagement Instructions tab is available in the order's navigation bar.
Click on the tab to navigate to the section. The section displays the full text of the engagement instructions provided by the client for this order. Scroll through to read all requirements.
After accepting- All orders
Once an order has been accepted, the Engagement Instructions tab is no longer shown separately. The engagement instructions are available as a document attached to the order and can be accessed in two ways:
Option 1: From the Attached Documents link
Go to the Order Details tab and click Attached Documents in the top-right corner of the section. The dropdown will show the engagement instructions file. Click on it to open or download it.
Option 2: From the Supporting Documents section
Go to the Supporting Docs tab. The engagement instructions file will be listed there with its file name, document type, and upload date/time. Click on the file name to open or download the document.
This is how you can view engagement instructions on an order. Reading them carefully before starting your appraisal ensures your report meets the client's exact requirements and reduces the likelihood of revision requests later.
